The Yellow House is within a few metres of the National Trusts Parke
Estate where there are wonderful woodland and riverside walks. We
have contacts with our local Newton Abbot rambling club if you wish
to join them on walks which take place on 3 days a week.
For golfers, there is a driving range, 9 hole golf course, pitch
and putt at Wolleigh a 3 minute drive away. For the more dedicated
golfer an 18 hole course at Stover is 2 miles away, other 18 hole
courses include Torquay, Teignmouth, Teign Valley and a links course
at Dawlish Warren, all within 10 miles of us.
The fabulous South Devon coastline and beaches with varied watersports
and pretty coastal villages are within 20 minutes drive, nearest resort
is Teignmouth 15 minutes away by car, Torquay is approx 20 minutes
away by car. There are many local beauty spots and attractions to
suit everyone and plenty to see and do for all age groups and in all
weathers including castles and stately homes and gardens, quad biking,
adventure parks, Paignton zoo, Torquays model village and Kents Cavern,
butterfly farms, otter sanctuary steam train and river boat rides
from Buckfastleigh, Totnes, Paignton and Dartmouth and much more.
We are on a bus route and many attractions and towns are within easy
reach by public transport.
The Local Tourist Information Centre located at Bovey Tracey car
park has information on all the activities, events and places to visit.
